Custom software · Built to last

Software built around
the way your business works.

Off-the-shelf tools force you to work their way. Palo Verde Labs designs and builds web apps, mobile apps, and connected systems that fit your operation exactly — then hosts and supports them so they just keep running.

Web & native apps · Custom websites · Custom POS · Shop management · Ticketing & RFID wristbands · Digital waivers · AI integrations · IoT & hardware · Ads & marketing

What we build

One engineer-led shop, end to end: from the first conversation to a system your team uses every day.

Web & mobile apps

Customer portals, dashboards, booking tools, internal systems, and iOS/Android apps — the software that runs your day-to-day, built for how you actually operate.

Custom website design

Hand-designed sites — never a template — from a sharp, fast web presence to a full platform with customer logins, backends, and complete company systems working behind it.

Custom point of sale

Registers, kiosks, and card readers that match how your counter actually runs — admissions, retail, service writing — with modern payment processing built in.

Shop & service management

Work orders, scheduling, customer records, and invoicing in one system shaped around how jobs actually move through your business — from first call to paid.

Ticketing, waivers & admissions

Online ticketing, card & RFID wristband access, and digital waivers tied to check-in — guest-flow systems built and deployed in the real world.

AI integrations

Practical AI wired into your workflow — drafting quotes, reading paperwork, answering customer questions, summarizing jobs. The kind that saves hours, not a chatbot bolted on.

Connected hardware & IoT

When software has to touch the physical world — readers, controllers, sensors, kiosks — we build that too, down to the microcontroller.

Ads & digital marketing

Google and Meta campaigns wired to real tracking — pixel and server-side conversions, search-term mining, and reporting that shows where every ad dollar actually goes.

Backends, APIs & cloud

APIs, databases, and integrations — running on modern cloud infrastructure (AWS, Cloudflare, Supabase) sized to your budget.

Proof, not promises

Systems we've designed, built, and still run in production today. Most of them are live — click through.

Station 49 — an entire entertainment venue running on our software

Go-karts, mini golf, a mile-long train, an arcade, and a live-music saloon in Birch Bay, WA — operating end to end on systems we built: station49.fun and station49.live.

  • Online ticketing & box office — Stripe checkout, QR tickets and scanning, promo codes, refunds, waitlists
  • Reloadable park credits & wristbands on Square — guests top up from their own phones with Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Cash App
  • Custom card readers we designed and built onto every arcade machine, updated over the air
  • Facebook event auto-sync, livestream pages with viewer alerts, and SMS & email marketing with two-way texting
  • Digital waivers tied to check-in, plus gate access with rotating codes and geofencing driving the physical gate
  • A fleet of signage TVs cued from the office — along with stage lighting and the venue jukebox
  • Google & Meta ad campaigns with full conversion tracking — browser pixel plus server-side events — feeding a custom reporting warehouse that mines search terms, placements, and demographics

Houseright AI private platform

An AI assistant built into an auto repair shop's daily workflow. Staff ask questions in plain English; it answers from the shop's real management-system data, pulls OEM procedures and wiring diagrams, checks industry-confirmed fixes, and quotes live parts pricing — with sources cited. Plus a fully custom time clock: audited edits, time-off approvals, and automatic "you forgot to clock in" texts through the SMS line the shop already uses.

dontwait.app

Live border wait times for US–Canada and US–Mexico land crossings — every lane (NEXUS, SENTRI, Ready, FAST) refreshed every five minutes from four official data sources, with history charts, best-time-to-cross analysis, and live highway cameras. Our own product, built and run with the same care as client work.

Phil's Barkery

Complete ecommerce for a small-batch organic dog-treat bakery — product catalog, cart, Stripe checkout, order management, customer accounts, and an owner admin panel, all custom-built. No Shopify, no plugins, no monthly platform fees.

Stripe checkout Custom admin panel Customer accounts Zero platform fees

Tri-County Diesel Marine

Business website for a marine diesel service and parts dealer — plus the part you can't see: their on-site camera system, sitting behind a locked-down shop firewall, bridged securely onto the web through an encrypted tunnel we designed and still maintain.

Business website Secure remote access On-site integration Ongoing support

And when we're not building for clients, we're building for ourselves — including an algorithmic trading platform that pairs an AI decision engine with a 21-gate risk validator across three exchanges. The tinkering is how we stay sharp.

Industries we know inside out

Custom software pays off most where the off-the-shelf options fit worst. Two worlds we've built for, end to end:

Attractions & entertainment venues

Ticketing windows, wristband gates, waiver kiosks, party bookings — the systems that keep guests moving. If you're duct-taping four vendors together, this is exactly the problem we like to solve.

  • Online & walk-up ticketing with POS
  • Card and RFID wristband access & reloadable credit
  • Digital waivers tied to check-in
  • One guest record, one report, one vendor

Auto repair shops

Shop software that matches how work actually flows through your bays — not another bloated suite your writers fight with all day.

  • Estimates & customer approvals by text
  • Digital vehicle inspections with photos
  • Work orders, scheduling & status boards
  • Service history your whole shop can search

How we work

1

Scope the real problem

We start with your operation, not a feature list — what's slow, what's manual, what's costing you money. You get a plain-English proposal with a fixed scope and price.

2

Ship a working slice early

Within the first weeks you're clicking through real software, not reviewing mockups. We build in the open and adjust while changes are cheap.

3

Launch, host, support

We host and monitor it for you — or deploy into your own environment, including remote setup on local, on-premise systems. Either way, you're not left holding a codebase you can't run.

About

Palo Verde Labs is led by Brayden Giffen — a software engineer with a B.S. in Software Engineering from Arizona State University and years of experience shipping production systems — full backends and frontends, web and native apps, ticketing and wristband platforms, waiver systems, and embedded hardware.

The name comes from the palo verde tree: its bark stays green and keeps photosynthesizing even when it drops its leaves in a drought. We build software with the same idea — systems that keep working when conditions aren't perfect.
